The dock water exhibition, Carrick on shannon, september 2009

Saturday 19th September 2009, Carrick on Shannon .
Aideen Barry and Anne Ffrench presented Heterotypic Glitch on the river Shannon to music. Red kitted out girls were brought by civil defence boats into the rowing club area to dance in self contained plastic bubbles. I heard that these held 40 minutes of air so the large crowd was brought swiftly from the dock and ,being a good day, lots of people attended.
As the photo above shows, it was a really different type of exhibition but well worth it. As per the dock blog, the performance artists were Mary Blake, Diane O Callaghan, Ciara McCormack, Ashling Seoighe, Sarah Moran, Edel White, Zoe Dunne and Sinead Guckian.

G making a rushes cross

In the evening sun, while the silage was going on, G started making some crosses out of rushes while I tried taking photos of the silage. We used to make these when we were young and on St Bridget's day, 1st february. I took maybe 400 photos and none grabbed me apart from these candid ones. The next day I came back to photograph the silage again. Beautiful end to the summer.

Malta wedding

Hi all.

I realise that I haven't put any blog up recently. I update this from Malta where we are at the wedding of Edel and Alan .This is a beautiful setting for any wedding, people are very welcoming and the weather is fantastic for holiday and photos. Getting here is more difficult but cost of living is better .Brilliant time had by all who came.

Tall ships, Belfast 13th-16th aug 2009

Above picture is from the firework display at Belfast Quays on Saturday evening 12-13 th august 2009. Literally thousand s of people turned out on the Quays and around Belfast for the event. Busses were available around the city for a very good park and ride service. The boats left the harbor next morning in a sort of convoy (one by one) but we missed the large ones because we thought it went on for the four hours.

Next time they come to Ireland- go see them.

Yipee....

Bruxelles is a SMALL venue but a nice setting
