Bull Island (2)

>

Child photography.

These were taken on sunday for a competition in the Guardian Newspaper entitled "play". G loves jumping up in the air for anything but especially from one dune to another and being caught on camera. the two here were at 4.0 f stop (as i had been looking at a 1.4 lens the day before with a future buying intention)and just trying a fixed depth of field.

The day was not great but with a little imagination , you can get great watery sky`s if you take black and white

We went over to the dune paths and I lay on the ground to get G jumping over me. Pretty risky with sand and boots flying and always keeping an eye out for the wrong foot that could land straight on you.
It is a nice place but after an hour we headed home. Thanks Martin for coming along.

Portrait photography (children)

It is always a challenge to photo children. Too fast paced, not enough natural light, easier to become cranky- the list is endless.
I think its better just to snap away for 5 or 10 minutes and then leave it.

We were at Cian, Oisin and Ceili`s house tonight and did these quick session
Im happy with them and they even look like a calendar.
Hummm- Now there`s an idea for my next rainy day....!!!!!

Hen night photos. (Carrick on Shannon)

Hen night
Originally uploaded by Ave Maria Photography

Hello everyone.

I am a freelance press photographer based in Carrick on Shannon, County Leitrim. We get a lot of hen and stag parties here and I would like to share one photo essay with you.
This particular set was redone for the client who wanted a more happy/funky color feel.

This is a selection of the many types of work I undertake including parties, events and I`ve added bespoke journalistic weddings to the list.

Lots of people choose Carrick on shannon for their hen/stag night and like to do something different. A photo-shoot is a wonderful idea to organize and memento to keep for your friends.
I will meet at a prearranged venue to photograph you and your guests. It is better earlier on in the evening, as venues tend to fill up pretty quick (and nobody likes jostling for space). When all the photos are taken ( it should take under one hour), I will beaver away editing down 8-10 of the best groups to make a CD ready for collection the next day. These photos are for non commercial proposes.

You will also get an identical resized copy for use on face-book.

This is a special package and costs 75 euro ( pay-pal or cleared cheque). Please ring or drop me an email beforehand with your preferred hen night date in Carrick on Shannon.

Otherwise 95 euro paid before event. This is a Cd offer - and I will also put photos to view online where you or your guests have the option to purchase from a professional lab.
( Ask to see samples of these brilliant prints )
