Hello everyone.

I am a freelance press photographer based in Carrick on Shannon, County Leitrim. We get a lot of hen and stag parties here and I would like to share one photo essay with you.

This particular set was redone for the client who wanted a more happy/funky color feel.

This is a selection of the many types of work I undertake including parties, events and I`ve added bespoke journalistic weddings to the list.

Lots of people choose Carrick on shannon for their hen/stag night and like to do something different. A photo-shoot is a wonderful idea to organize and memento to keep for your friends.

I will meet at a prearranged venue to photograph you and your guests. It is better earlier on in the evening, as venues tend to fill up pretty quick (and nobody likes jostling for space). When all the photos are taken ( it should take under one hour), I will beaver away editing down 8-10 of the best groups to make a CD ready for collection the next day. These photos are for non commercial proposes.

You will also get an identical resized copy for use on face-book.

This is a special package and costs 75 euro ( pay-pal or cleared cheque). Please ring or drop me an email beforehand with your preferred hen night date in Carrick on Shannon.

Otherwise 95 euro paid before event. This is a Cd offer - and I will also put photos to view online where you or your guests have the option to purchase from a professional lab.

Venice Carnival 2010 exhibition at the Backstage theatre, Longford.

Hi Folks.

Having my first solo exhibition entitled `Venice Carnival 2010`tomorrow night at 8pm.

Here is a sample of whats on display for the next few weeks.

The exhibition opens on the 29th of September- 15th October 2010.

All the photos are up ( even though I would like to add some from the batch arriving tomorrow morning-but can`t ). Its been late nights thinking things through but all-in-all looking forward

to it.

Im delighted that the famous fashion Photographer Mike Bunn will perform the official opening and my good friend Martin McGhee will " talk "on my behalf ...so roll on tomorrow.

I have three photos on display in Cafe & Lounge, Carrick on shannon until mid november

and blank postcards ( printed on special metallic paper ) available for 5 euro.

Kilronan Castle. Anniversary photoshoot

We went to Kilronan castle, County Roscommon last night to do some photos for Alan & Edels first anniversary photoshoot. Here are some pictures and best wishes on the `Honeymoon` in Thailand. Its a beautiful venue outside Ballyfarnan for photos or food.

Martins party

Was at Martins birthday party in the Ormond wine bar on last Saturday night. Very good . Took this photo at the end of the night with Martin in a playboy pose on the black velvet high chair and the last of the people. Check out more on flickr.

Trim castle

Hi.

This photo is from my iPhone of trim castle while we were there to see some balloons. I was looking at a Photo Ireland blog and happened upon a thread about some ballooning that was happening in Meath. The festival had already started so I decided to go on the Saturday to see the " nightglow" advertised for ten pm.
We arrived at 6pm and found out everything finished at 7pm and the night glow had been cancelled because of a bad weather forecast. All this way for nothing! Apparently, if we came back at 8am the next morning, the wind would be mild enough for the balloons. So we slept in dub that night and trudged at 6.15 am-(I kid you not) in the frosty morning air back to county Meath (and we were one of the first there)

We got the photos and by the time we left at 1pm, lots of people were there. I never knew the wind had to be so mild to allow balloons up ( up to a max of 7 miles per hour? if i recall).
We were happy we came to the Fiesta and tired. Check out more photos of the day on flickr.

Starfish on sligo strand

The above starfish `Phenomenon` was reported in friday`s (6th nov. 2009) paper after `freak weather condition`s in sligo, left starfish strewen all along the beach.
